Casino

Diving

A Cape Town attraction par excellence is the Great White Shark. The domain of this famous  carnivore can be found quite easily near Seal Island. Down the road at the Two Oceans Aquarium shark diving can be done in the aquariums tanks

Golf

Hiking

Getting out on a hike is easy! Table Mountain, Lions Head and Devil’s Peak are only minutes away from the CBD. There are many established paths including contour paths meandering from the city side of Table Mountain to the pristine forests of Newlands.

Horse Riding

Horse riding is extremely popular in Cape Town. Activities available on horseback include galloping down an 8 kilometre stretch of Noordhoek Beach or various day trips around the many mountain trails of the fairest Cape.

Ice Skating

If you enjoy ice skating, you will appreciate the venue at the GrandWest Casino.The rink is of  World class standard and is surprisingly uncrowded.

Kayaking

Cape Townis situated on a peninsula, which means you can get into the water close to the CBD and paddle to numerous beaches up the coast. Rivers and dams are also plentiful in the Cape Town area.

Mini Golf

Otherwise known as putt-putt, mini golf can be played alongside the promenade, running the length of Cape Town’s Sea Point district. The two courses offer a challenging golfers duel conveniently just around the corner from the Breakwater Lodge.

Natural Surroundings and Wildlife

Paragliding

One of Cape Town’s attractions includes Lion’s Head near Signal Hill, which both overlook Clifton and Camp’s Bay. Sir Lowry’s Pass near Somerset West offers aerial views over the False Bay coast. All these venues offer excellent paragliding locations.

Skateboarding

One of Cape Town’s best-loved activities is skateboarding. So much so that we have built our own skate parks. Although there are a few rules about skating in Cape Town, people are generally quite tolerant.

Surfing

Cape Towntravel includes some great surfing opportunities. Nice breaks can be had in  Bloubergstrand, Table View and from Camps Bay to Noordhoek. Boards can also be easily rented.
